Itinerary
- Day 1: Kathmandu to Rasuwagadhi (2,500m)
Gather in Kathmandu and embark on a 7-hour scenic drive to Rasuwagadhi (152km). Enjoy breathtaking landscapes along the way.
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner (B/L/D) - Day 2: Rasuwagadhi to Kerung (3,700m)
After breakfast, complete immigration and customs formalities in Nepal and China. Drive 26km to the small Tibetan town of Kerung.
Overnight: Twin-sharing hotel
Meal Plan: B/L/D - Day 3: Kerung to Saga (4,500m)
Drive 250km to Saga, passing the stunning Gurung La Pass (5,050m) with views of Mt. Shishapangma (8,021m), Gauri Shankar, and other peaks.
Overnight: Twin-sharing hotel
Meal Plan: B/L/D - Day 4: Saga to Lake Manasarovar (4,500m)
Drive 385km to Lake Manasarovar. Enjoy your first view of the holy lake and Mount Kailash from Horchu Pass.
Overnight: Dormitory (4–5 pax sharing) lodge at Chhu Gompa
Meal Plan: B/L/D - Day 5: Manasarovar to Darchen (4,560m)
Engage in spiritual activities like puja, havan, meditation, and a holy bath. In the afternoon, drive 30km to Darchen.
Overnight: New hotel
Meal Plan: B/L/D - Day 6: Darchen to Diraphuk (4,890m)
Begin the Kailash Parikrama with a 10km drive to Tarboche followed by a 4–5 hour trek to Diraphuk.
Overnight: Dormitory (4–5 pax sharing) guest house
Meal Plan: B/L/D - Day 7: Diraphuk to Zuthulphuk (4,790m)
Trek 22km via Dolma La Pass (5,600m), the most challenging part of the journey. Stop briefly for prayers and continue past Gaurikunda to Zuthulphuk.
Overnight: Dormitory guest house
Meal Plan: B/L/D - Day 8: Zuthulphuk to Saga via Manasarovar
After breakfast, trek 8km to the pickup point, where transport awaits to drive you back to Saga via Manasarovar Horchu.
Overnight: Hotel
Meal Plan: B/L/D - Day 9: Saga to Kerung
Drive back to Kerung and enjoy the final leg of your journey through the Tibetan plateau.
Meal Plan: B/L/D - Day 10: Kerung to Kathmandu
After breakfast, cross the Nepal-China border at Rasuwagadhi and drive back to Kathmandu, concluding your journey.
