Itinerary
June 16th – June 29th, 2025
Day 1: June 16th – Arrival in Kathmandu
- Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu.
- Transfer to a deluxe hotel (Hyatt Centric, Radisson, or similar).
- Evening program briefing about the Kailash tour.
- Relax and prepare for the journey.
Day 2: June 17th – Kathmandu Visa Process and Sightseeing
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Complete Tibet visa application process:
- Sign visa forms and submit them at the China Visa Center.
- Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu:
- Pashupatinath Temple: Sacred Hindu temple of Lord Shiva.
- Guheshwori Temple: Holy shrine dedicated to Goddess Parvati.
- Swayambhunath Stupa: UNESCO World Heritage Site with panoramic views of the city.
- Jalnarayan Temple: Famous reclining Vishnu statue.
- Return to the hotel and prepare for the Kailash tour.
Day 3: June 18th – Fly to Pokhara and Sightseeing
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Morning flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (approx. 25 minutes).
- Check-in at a deluxe hotel in Pokhara.
- Pokhara sightseeing tour:
- Davis Falls: Stunning underground waterfall.
- Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave: Sacred Shiva temple inside a cave.
- Barahi Temple: Visit the temple on Fewa Lake and enjoy evening Arati.
- Explore the vibrant Lakeside market.
Day 4: June 19th – Fly to Jomsom and Visit Muktinath
- Early morning flight to Jomsom.
- Drive to Muktinath temple by Jeep, giving plenty of time for yatris to do pooja and bath.
- Afternoon drive back to Jomsom for an overnight stay.
Day 5: June 20th – Fly to Kathmandu
- After breakfast, fly back to Pokhara.
- Transfer to Pokhara International Airport, then fly to Kathmandu.
- Transfer to the hotel and prepare for the Kailash tour.
Day 6: June 21st – Kathmandu to Lhasa
- After breakfast, transfer to Kathmandu airport for a flight to Lhasa Gonggar airport (1 hr 10 min flight).
- Drive 90 km to Lhasa city and transfer to hotel.
- Evening visit to Barkhor market and, if possible, Jokhang Temple.
Day 7: June 22nd – Lhasa City Tour
- After breakfast, city tour in Lhasa:
- Potala Palace: The winter residence of the Dalai Lama and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Jokhang Temple: Holiest temple in Tibetan Buddhism.
- Barkhor Street: Explore the vibrant pilgrimage circuit around the Jokhang Temple.
Day 8: June 23rd – Fly to Ali and Drive to Manasarovar Lake
- Early morning flight to Ali airport.
- Drive to Manasarovar Lake for Parikarma via Thirthapuri/Bhasmasur.
- Overnight stay at a guest house in Manasarovar.
Day 9: June 24th – Manasarovar Lake Puja and Drive to Darchen
- Morning puja and havan worship at Manasarovar Lake.
- Bath in the sacred waters of the lake.
- After the puja, drive to Darchen for acclimatization and overnight stay.
Day 10: June 25th – Kailash Parikarma Trek to Deraphuk
- Drive to Yamdawar (10 km) and start Kailash Parikarma trek to Deraphuk (5-6 hours, 12 km).
- Overnight stay at a guest house in Deraphuk.
Day 11: June 26th – Trek to Zuthulphuk via Dolmala Pass
- Trek to Zuthulphuk (4790m) via Dolmala Pass and Gaurikunda.
- Continue walking down to Phedi, where available jeep will drive you to Darchen.
- Short visit to Zulphuk Moneytree and continue the drive to Darchen.
- Overnight stay in Darchen.
Day 12: June 27th – Drive to Ali
- Early morning drive to Ali.
- Transfer to Ali airport and fly back to Lhasa.
- Overnight stay in Lhasa. Free time for shopping and relaxation.
Day 13: June 28th – Return to Kathmandu
- After breakfast, transfer to Lhasa airport and fly back to Kathmandu.
- Transfer to hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 14: June 29th – Departure
- Free time for shopping or last-minute sightseeing.
- Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey.
